In a Singapore Second

We had another late night Tiger Airways flight (most likely our last since they can't be on time to save their lives and I'm not sure dealing with the extremely limited leg room is worth saving the money) arriving in Singapore at about 4 a.m.  Thankfully were were able to check into our hotel as soon as we arrived.  And yes, since we were only staying for 2 nights we decided to do a hotel and not a hostel.  We were pleasantly surprised when we got to our room.

The room was small, but quite a leap from the hostels and campervans we've been enjoying the last few weeks.  The entire bathroom doubled as the shower, with the drain on the floor, it was a fun time and allowed for multitasking.

After a few hours rest we got up to explore the city.  We were staying in Little India, so the first stop a small India restaurant for some delicious roti prata.  Then off to wander the neighborhood.

After Little India we headed down Orchard Road to escape the heat and humidity in some of the many, many shopping centers.  Orchard Road was paved with beautiful flowers and plants.

After Orchard Road, Abby graciously let us spend some time touring Sim Lim Square, an amazing 6 'storey' shopping center with just about every piece of electronics, from computers to cell phones and from resisters to transistors.  I was in heaven.

After spending all day shopping, without spending a dollar, we headed down to the Boat Quay for some dinner with some friends who were on their way with us to the wedding in Kuala Lumpur.  It was a very enjoyable whirlwind tour of the city.
